NFMTVegas
The National Facilities Management & Technology Conference (NFMT) group hosts a few events throughout the year, with NFMTVegas being the largest annual event of its kind on the West Coast. Attendees at NFMTVegas, which takes place in 2016 on November 1 & 2 include building owners, property managers, and facility managers. Although the expo is not specific to healthcare facility managers, the breadth of the show is sure to provide valuable information and networking opportunities.

ASHE Annual Conference & Exhibition
Each year the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) hosts an annual conference and exhibition that attracts professionals from all branches of the healthcare industry. This particular event can be hugely beneficial for healthcare facilities managers because exhibitors include the top inhealthcare maintenance brands. This year’s event will take place July 10 through July 13 in Denver.
IFMA Facility Fusion
The International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) is another group that hosts a range of events throughout the year. IFMA Facility Fusion, which is held annually in the U.S. as well as in Canada, is the most applicable to healthcare employees. The educational conference is sure to offer many opportunities for facility managers to learn about leading edge technology that will change how all types of facilities are maintained and managed.
The 2017 event will be held April 4 through April 6 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Another event targeted directly towards healthcare facility management and improvement is the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo. The expo is entering its 29th year as an annual event and attendees will include:

- Interior Designers
- Construction Professionals, and
- Engineers
The 2016 event will take place in Orlando from September 19 through September 21.
Next Generation Health Care Facilities Summit
The Next Generation Health Care Facilities Summit may be a bit skewed towards the design and development of modern health facilities, but could still be a valuable event for healthcare facilities managers. The 2016 Summit has already passed, but facility managers should be sure to check the website for announcements about the 2017 event.
