While you won’t be able to attend every facility manager conference every year, we have narrowed down the long list of annual events to five choice conferences coming up in 2017 that could have a real impact on how you do your job, and how well your healthcare facility runs.

## hpb+w

The [National Facilities Management & Technology Conference](http://www.nfmt.com/) (NFMT) group hosts a few events throughout the year. The next event on their calendar is [hpb+w](http://www.nfmt.com/highperformance/), which stands for high-performance buildings and workplaces. The event will take place May 17th and 18th in Arlington, Texas. The free conference is targeted towards Facilities Managers, building owners, and AE professionals and is specifically focused on sustainability and health in a range of facilities.

Other annual events from NFMT include:

- CriticalFacilities Summit, October 23-25 in Minneapolis, MN
- NFMT Orlando,  November 14-15
- NFMT Baltimore, March 20-22, 2018

## CleanMED

Another opportunity to explore sustainability comes with the 2017 [CleanMED](http://cleanmed.org/) conference, taking place May 16th through May 18th in Minneapolis, MN. With the slogan of “Anchoring Healthy Communities” CleanMED is the premier conference on environmental sustainability in the healthcare sector. The international event will feature educational sessions on topics such as recycling, product design, and energy management.

## ASHE Annual Conference & Exhibition

Each year the [American Society for Healthcare Engineering](http://www.ashe.org/annual/index.shtml#.VzzU-JMrLdQ) (ASHE) hosts an annual conference and exhibition that attracts professionals from all branches of the healthcare industry. This particular event can be hugely beneficial for healthcare facilities managers because exhibitors include the top in [healthcare maintenance](https://www.hepacart.com/blog/healthcare-facilities-management-maintenance-scheduling) and healthcare construction brands. This year’s event will take place August 6th through August 9th in Indianapolis.

## IFMA’s World Workplace Conference & Expo

The International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) is hosting it’s [World Workplace Conference & Expo](https://worldworkplace.ifma.org/) in October. The event, which will take place October 18th through October 20th in Houston, will include a range of keynote sessions as well as opportunities for continuing education. The expo will feature hundreds of exhibitors in a range of industries, including healthcare. Early bird registration is open through August to maximize your conference dollar.

## Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo

Another event targeted directly towards healthcare facility management and improvement is the [Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo](http://www.hcarefacilities.com/). The expo is entering its 30th year as an annual event and attendees will include:

- Facility Managers
- Interior Designers
- Construction Professionals
- Engineers

The 2017 event will take place from September 18 through September 20 in Austin, TX.
